Dr. Doran is a board certified psychiatrist and psychopharmacologist who has been practicing since 1998. She is a distinguished fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, and is board certified in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology.
Dr. Doran completed her medical training at the University of Miami in 1994, and her psychiatry residency training at Harvard Longwood Psychiatry Residency Training Program in 1998, where she was chief resident of psychopharmacology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. Upon completion of her residency, Dr. Doran returned to the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital, where she was assistant director of the mood disorders program. Dr. Doran then directed a private psychiatric practice in Boca Raton, Florida, for 15 years, with a specialization in mood and bipolar disorders. She also treated anxiety disorders, obsessive compulsive disorders, psychiatric disorders unique to women, and psychotic disorders. For the past three years, Dr. Doran has been focusing on the treatment of substance use disorders, addictions and dual diagnosis.
