We take a multifaceted approach to mental health treatment and drug rehab, using a blend of traditional and innovative therapies to help you find what works best for you. In addition to educational groups and individual, group and family counseling, we offer therapies such as:

* Therapies available are based on clinical need and length of stay.  Some therapies may incur an additional fee.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Changing your thoughts and reactions to various stimuli in your environment requires thoughtful and consistent treatment. Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is one of the approaches used at Lucida to help you recover from addiction and mental health disorders. CBT allows you to see the positives in life instead of focusing on the stress, traumas or negative events that contributed to self-destructive behavior. CBT also works well in conjunction with other treatment approaches. Learn more

Gestalt Therapy

Unlike approaches that dig deep into past experiences, Gestalt therapy encourages clients to be present with their thoughts, feelings and emotions – regardless if they’re thought to be tied to the past – and learn techniques to regulate them. Clients focus on their experiences and feelings in the context of their current lives. Gestalt therapy draws on experiential approaches that help people connect feelings with physical sensations. Clients learn techniques that allow them to “sit with” their feelings without judgment. Learn more

Self-Help Support Groups (12-Step Alternative & 12-Step)

While at Lucida, our clients participate in support groups that provide feedback, encouragement and mutual support. Since we understand that there are many paths to recovery, there is no mandate to go to the traditional 12-Step group. Although 12-Step support is available, we offer 12-Step alternatives such as onsite SMART Recovery® groups.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a trauma resolution therapy that helps remove the stress and anxiety associated with trauma. The American Psychological Association and the International Society of Traumatic Stress Studies have approved the use of EMDR for the treatment of PTSD. As part of dual diagnosis treatment at Lucida, EMDR is offered to help clients heal from the wounds of emotional trauma.
