I was at Lucida last March and spent almost two months there. My primary therapist Laura, was excellent and helped me work through some very difficult issues and was so very loving and compassionate. I am eternally grateful for the time I was allowed to spend with my trauma therapist, Gigi. The work we did together has been life-changing for me. I came to Lucida full of fear and with very little hope. The entire staff helped to give me hope once again and taught me to live my life fearlessly. Thanks Lucida!

Lucida has been a God send for my son and our family. He has never been through detox and treatment, I was very nervous and scared while researching a place for him. He is sober, happy, positive and looking to the future which are all things he hasn’t had for years. I saw the magic at family day last week, how complete strangers have become a little family and how they help each other and hold each other up. Thank you for helping save my sons life!! From the first phone call it’s been nothing but awesome!! My son doesn’t open up and talk to many people, but Laura (therapist), you have been his rock!! He has told me over and over again he can talk to you about ANYTHING!! Lol, probably more than you would like to know sometimes 😊 We will never forget each and every one of you and all you have done and are doing in our lives!! Thank you from the bottom of a broken and healing mother’s heart ♥️ ~ God bless you all, Brenda

I am actively in treatment at Lucida and am confident of my recovery because of the care I have received here. The staff is extremely attentive to my needs and provides honest feedback regardless of if I like it or not. Being uncomfortable is part of the growth process and they are getting me to understand that. Recovery is not easy but coming to treatment here will give me a great chance by the time I leave. The rest is up to me.

My name is Tracy and a loved one of mine was treated at Lucidia recently. I can't begin to describe the care that was given to her. For a long time she was drug through systems that left he back where she started. But not at Lucida. Their immersion program brings a person back to the beginning... to find your roots... a begin again. Thank you Lucida... thank you so much.

The therapists here are absolutely amazing. This was my second time back here and I really put in the effort and they helped me so much. They really know what they are doing when it comes to trauma work and they really care about what they are doing and have everyone's best interests at heart. I would recommend this place to anyone I cared about.

Lucida Saved My Life. I am ever so grateful for the care I received in my 30 day stay. The therapists, doctors, nurses and staff here are ALL TOP NOTCH. They care with a passion that is unparalleled. While they were not in network with my insurance, and I had to self pay, it was worth every single penny, because I truly know I wouldn't be here today if it were not for Lucida. The community is also one of a kind and absolutely amazing. I can't tell you how comforting it is to be a member of such a caring and understanding group of my peers. Special Shoutouts to: Laura Ward - my absolutely amazing therapist without whom I would certainly be lost. Phyllis - while not my therapist, she's still a-freakin-MAZING. :)Jim - clinical director extraordinaire! I went to meet him to sign a form and he had me sit and started talking to me about ME, my past, my trauma, and he gave me my first EMDR therapy session... right then and there. This man truly cares about the patients and for his staff.Gigi - an amazing therapist/group facilitator who taught me DBT, CBT, and Trauma relief. Tim - incredibly motivational group facilitator who helped solidify my faith in there being REAL people out there.Mr. Felipe - the absolute BEST TECH EVER!!!!! There is just nothing he can't or won't do for the betterment of the clients there.

At First the idea to coming to treatment at Lucida was terrifying. I had all types of questions. For example, was the staff caring ? how was the cleanliness of the rooms/houses? What kind of therapist was I going to have to work with. Lucida surpassed all my expectations. For my intake I was greeted with friendly techs. The offices were very clean. I was taken for a tour of the town houses which were beautiful with very comfy beds and a large kitchen. Your days at Lucida are very structure. Your in several groups and also have one on one sessions with your assigned therapist. The groups are for the most part are gender specific which I was very happy about. It made me feel alot more comfortable with a room full of women in recovery. Also most of the therapist are recovering addicts which is a plus. I highly recommend Lucida to anyone who is trying to get well. Treatment can be a very scary and uncomfortable thing but that was far from my experience at Lucida. I got the care that I needed with and amazing staff that wants you to succeed.

Overall, a very good experience. As with anything worth doing, one gets out of it what they put into it. I came to Lucida with issues related to trauma and PTSD, alcoholism and associated mood disorders and got the help I needed to move forward in my life. I was fortunate to have such a skilled, compassionate and insightful primary therapist (thank you, Dr. Heelan) and a caring treatment team. The groups facilitated by other therapists with the other clients in treatment were beneficial as well. I feel coming here helped me. If you are looking for things like swimming with dolphins, gourmet food prepared by a private chef and Swedish massages, Lucida might not be the place for you, although the facility and the amenities are extremely nice in their own right. If, however you are looking for help, you can certainly find it at Lucida.

They were always available to listen or talk with you about anything. The community as a whole is very supportive, kind, caring, and a true family. The facility is very clean and "homey" feeling. Lucida truly changed my life. Before I came to Lucida for my mood disorder, I was hopeless. I was consistently going to therapy in my home town for years, but nothing seemed to help. I was lost and out of options. Through surrendering to this program, I have found a new sense of purpose to live and my hope has come back! I can now see a clearer future for myself when before Lucida, I saw nothing. The other women clients at Lucida are amazing and ranging from ages 18 years to mid 60's! Everyone is accepted in the group no matter how young or old. They say 50% of your recovery in treatment comes from the other clients, and it couldn't be more true. These women treated me like a sister and I will carry them with me as I go forth into my recovery. The work is not easy, at times I wanted to give up and go home. However, through the love and support of both the therapists, case managers, nurses, and housing technicians I found my will and strength. Fyi: although the website says your meals will be cooked by a professional chef, you are required to cook all three meals yourself. At first I thought I couldn't handle this task because of my depression, however it was a great skill that taught me to push through and take care of my self. Weekend trips to the beach, inside and outside meetings, movie nights, ping pong tournaments are all a part of the fun! Take a chance on your own life! Head to Lucida for the hpoe you need!

I spent 73 days at the facility in Lantana, FL. The clinical staff was absolutely superlative. The facility itself is beautiful. Although this was no easy feat, I am confident that the treatment has awarded me a second lease on life. I have now begun to understand self-love, self-care, confidence and most importantly, gratitude! I will be eternally grateful for all that I’ve learned about myself and now, give continuation to the work started at Lucida. Thank you Lucida!

Making the decision to attend treatment is not easy to do. However, Lucida made the transition from a time of unmanageability in my life to a new start in recovery a comfortable one. It is very apparent that the staff, therapists and nurses genuinely care about you personally and your well-being. They are invested in your recovery process and provide the guidance needed to get through what can be a difficult time in a persons life. The staff are educated, supportive, caring and hard working. I have known Jim Snow, the Clinical Director for many years and he and the staff he has hired go above and beyond for every client. I am very grateful that I had the chance to come to Lucida. The second chance I have received here is immeasurable. Thank You greatly!

Phyllis, my therapist, was absolutely incredible and went so far above and beyond for me. The staff was very helpful, the town homes were well furnished with comfortable beds, and I met incredible clients here as well. The combination of individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing life skills in the town home, and the wonderful camaraderie worked so well to help me heal. I became transformed into a new woman through being here and God's grace, and I highly recommend it.

My experience/treatment/life changing evolution while at Lucida was more than I could have ever imagined. From day one, I was ready to check out (even though the staff was incredible and validated my feelings) and leave on my own accord as I felt that my "issues" were so embedded there no was escaping. Yes it took me more than a week to adjust or even say one word and yet the staff continued to check on me and respect my feelings. I feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to work with the amazing staff and community. The case managers are on top of their game, my therapist was a life saver- she walked with me through my challenges and I can definitely say that leaving here, I feel so much different than I did when I walked in and over the past 20 + years. The techs are consistently available to help in anyway possible and will bend over backwards to make sure your needs are met. The community as a whole is a family similar to a close neighborhood and as an individual who isolates; once I forced myself to come outside and talk, I was immediately welcomed with open arms. I definitely recommend Lucida to anyone struggling, it's hard enough as it is to seek treatment but once and if you do, this is the place to be.

I have been to several rehabs in the past, some were really horrendous. Lucida, however, is a fantastic place! They do have some issues, like most rehabs (they forget things here and there, you'll fall through the cracks if you don't advocate for yourself, etc) but they do a great job at fixing the issue and making your stay the best possible route for your treatment. The amenities are great! I felt like a king in my extremely nice townhouse. I picked out and cooked the food I wanted to eat. Groups were vary helpful on a variety of topics dealing with mental health and addiction. The clinical Staff is superior to most of the treatment facilities I have been to. 5 weeks is a short time to heal, but I received the best possible care I could have. Respect was shown to me all throughout, as I showed respect. All in all, fantastic experience!

I can honestly say this place saved my life! This is not a cookie cutter treatment center. They focus on your underlying issues and mental health to help you understand WHY you use or drink. The staff truly cares about you and makes you feel loved and important. They became my family. I've been to 8 treatment centers in 14 years and thought I was a lost cause. I now realize that other rehabs focused on getting me sober while Lucida focused on both my sobriety as well as who I am and why I do what I do. I am forever grateful to this place!!!
